Eric Layer is a writer and musician currently living in New Orleans. His written work has appeared in The Rattling Wall, Brilliant Flash Fiction, Trop, Penny-Ante, The Medulla Review, and the forthcoming collection Critically Acclaimed due out Summer 2017 from Rare Bird Books.
Eric is currently finishing his first novel, tentatively titled Boiltown. He will be receiving his MFA in Creative Writing in 2017. In 2011, he was a PEN Center Emerging Voices Fellowship recipient, and went on to receive the Mark Fellowship in 2012. In addition, he was a writer-in-residence at VCCA, Ragdale, Fundacion Valparaiso in Spain, and Foundation Obras in Portugal.
His solo album debut, Fall, is available on iTunes and Spotify.
He also raises goats.
